St. Patrick's Day

I almost forgot to do my St. Patrick's Day post! Any holiday is really fun at my work. This year my co-worker Linnea and I decided to dress up extra special for St. Patty's day. We both had on green pants, wigs, jewelry, etc. We threw a "St. Patrick's Day Shindig" for our Residents complete with green cupcakes, green pudding and green punch. They had a blast and so did we. Have I mentioned how much I love my job? Also is a picture of Blake in his green onesie!

Giddyup cowboy!

Twice a year Columbia and Lexington have their own respective children's consignment sales. Belles and Beaus is the Lexington sale and  Tot Trade in Columbia. They have everything you can imagine from clothing and shoes to toys, yard toys, formula, etc. Mom and I went to both this year and got some really cute things. When we were at B&B, there was this really cute little bouncy horse we thought Blake would like. He is getting used to it but he will sit in it, grab it's mane and bounce. It's really quite funny and especially when he gets bouncing to music.

Forget Mikey...Blake likes it!

Lemon at Olive Garden...

Thus far, Blake has liked everything, and I literally mean EVERYTHING we have given him to eat. He has been eating stage 2 foods and tolerating them well so we just started him on stage 3's. He's had just about every fruit and vegetable they make and loved them all. One night when we were at Olive Garden we put lemon in his mouth...he loved it! Didn't even make a face. Today I tried Spaghetti with beef which was pretty messy but really funny. He was enjoying his food thorougly and raises his eyebrows and goes, "mmmmmm!" Thought you guys would like to see some pics from this meal!

No more almost...We're Crawling big time!

Yeah well that didn't take long! Not only has Blake mastered the art of crawling, he is pulling himself up and can shimmy down whatever he's holding onto! My friend Donna and I had bought a friend of ours a "play yard" for her daughter's one year birthday almost two years ago. I called this friend to find out if she still had the "yard" and she did. She let me borrow it and it has been fantastic. It's like several baby gates put together which makes a little ring. I set it up in the den and Blake likes to play in it. That way, I can go to the bathroom, get a bottle ready, etc without having to put him in the exersaucer. He has room to crawl around and shimmy down the gate and I don't have to worry too much about what he can get into. If you have tiny kids, it's a wonderful invention and can be used indoors or out. I'm posting some pics of Blake in the playard as well as a video of him crawling.

And this is on linoleum! You should see him on carpet!

INMATE #060608 TRIES TO ESCAPE!!!!!

Inmate #060608 tried to escape today from his holding cell. Fortunately he was unable to succeed in this valiant attempt at freedom after being caught by Wardens Cash and Stilwell. "While doing a cell search, I noticed the inmate trying to escape. I saw him stand up with my own eyes and then attempt to jump the fence" says Warden Cash. Warden Stilwell had the same experience earlier in the day. The Cash House has released a statement in which they assure the community that this type of behavior will not be tolerated and that the inmate's cell has been lowered to prevent further escape attempts.

Sorry it's sideways!
